Each and every day those of us with children trust someone else to protect our children and family. Whether it be a friend, a teacher or in this case a school bus driver. We expect those entrusted with our most precious cargo to have a higher level of responsibility than normal. Unfortunately this did not happen recently in Anderson, South Carolina when a school bus failed to yield the right of way while attempting to make a left hand turn. According to WYFF News 4, Phillip Osborne of Anderson was operating a school bus when he attempted to make a left hand turn in front of an oncoming Jeep Cherokee. According to the police, Phillip Osborne was cited with failing to yield the right away. As a result of this negligence, two teenagers were sent to Anderson Area Medical Center (AnMed) with injuries from this bus accident. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.
