ATV INJURIES FROM ROLLOVER ACCIDENTS
The first ATVs, those with only three wheels, were eventually banned for being simply too dangerous. Four-wheeled ATVs followed and many considered the danger associated with ATVs had been averted. But, even the most modern ATVs can still pose a real risk of rollover. Given that ATVs can achieve very high speeds and that they are often operated on rough terrain, that risk of rollover is exacerbated and serious injuries and fatalities are a real possibility.
The risk of injury from ATV rollover is not evenly distributed through the range of ATV manufacturers. Certain models have a history of rolling over. If you were injured in an accident on one of these ATVs that is prone to rollover, your accident may not be your fault.
