WELDING ACCIDENTS
Welding is by its very nature a hazardous occupation. Yet in our highly industrialized world, it is a necessary part of constructing buildings, fabricating machinery and much more. Safety standards for welders include numerous procedures as well as mandatory use of helmet masks. Even when welders attempt to adhere to safety standards, accidents and injuries do occur. In other cases, welders may circumvent established safety protocols. Supervisors may be lax in enforcing safety standards. Furthermore, accidents such as manufacturing plant explosions or fall injuries can occur for reasons unrelated to the actual welding activities.Injuries caused specifically by welding may include:
- Eye injuries
- Burn injuries
- Toxic gas inhalation
